Default Forum acting up today.

Taking a long time to load, and "timing out" on most attempts.
Other times it will show a "dialog box" reading "database error", but I did not get the "url" of the error message, sorry.

Browser used : Firefox
Computer is a desktop, running Windows X P, and no problems being encountered whilst surfing other forums.

Attempting this post took 4 attempts, while mostly "timing out" before loading.

Thanks for all you do for us here!

Yes, it has been loading really slow. It's also still crashing on me quite a bit.

Lots of hiccups today. Thought it was just me at first.

How long do your computers run at a time? In 24 hours? Mine did a thermal shut down last week. To many hours at once. The heat sink/blower box assembly broke away from the CPU & caused it. Then the main exhaust fan gunked up with dust & lint. Dang highway & pets! You gotta clean it out once in a while. And there's this silver oxide? paste that the guy at Computer Crisis used between the CPU & the heat sink/blower assembly to improve heat transfer. Two days now & the fans haven't come on once. Also, turn it off if you gotta make a run or spend a significant amount of time doing something else. Mine was doing all the things y'all mentioned. But not anymore. Even Youtube videos stopped dropping out!

No, my issues were not due to problems like that. I built my machine just last year and clean it fairly regularly, plus I had trouble on three different machines. It was the forum, or my connection at all three sites - which is possible, I suppose.

I tried to post a thread about this earlier today but the forums wouldn't remain connected.

Things have been sluggish over the last few weeks, but this late morning/early afternoon was in the "Ahhh...screw it 'til later" range...

Cheers!

I suspected the connections myself. But after this repair, they all went away. It makes me wonder what else the guy did to mine when repairing it. Sure works great now.

Haven't noticed any connection/loading issues so far this morning.
