Default Blackberry Forum Launcher for HomeBrewTalk

Hello Brewers,

Here are the installation files for a forum launcher developed specifically for the BlackBerry smartphone. Included are both the OTA (over the air) installation files that are intended to be used through your BlackBerry device, as well as the BlackBerry Desktop Manager or BES install files (to be installed through your BES software or BlackBerry Desktop Manager, using your Desktop/Laptop).

Please select the appropriate link below, depending on what device software version and installation method you desire.

NOTES:
1) For OTA installation, type the address link (or click the link) directly from your BlackBerry device browser.
2) For BlackBerry Desktop Manager / BES installation, download the zip file to your computer, unpack it, and use the option to install new software from BlackBerry Desktop Manager. Direct the installation to the directory where you unpacked the zip file.
3) It is advised to make a backup of your data and files before installing any software onto your mobile device.

Yup, works well. Next problem is how to make the site more readable on the BB. I often get errors and it crashes it from time to time. Too many images I think is the main problem.

Well, you're viewing the full site that is intended for a computer. If you become a premium supporter ($25 / year), when you log in on your BlackBerry, you'll see that it's now a mobile version of the site with only a small logo up top and the rest is text only. Very BlackBerry or mobile device friendly.

You can also try the Bolt browser for BlackBerry, which is intended to view PC optimized sites on your device. Here's the link: http://boltbrowser.com/home.html

Is there anyway that the mobile version of HBt could be set up to run like m.crackberry.com? That is the best mobile forum layout I have ever seen. I have trouble running either the normal or the mobile HBT on the blackberry.

That would be nice, but would require a re design by the hbt administrator. It would take too long to create a mobile wrapper to re align the components.
