Default Calling Bergen County Home Brewers!

There seems to be a lot of difficulty finding active homebrew clubs in northern NJ, and we desperately need one. I've spoken to a few other Bergen county peeps and everyone has the same complaint--we're always pointed towards clubs that are too far away to make weekday meetings.

So what should we do about this? I'm thinking that we should just start a group centered around Paramus. Thoughts? Feelings? I know we don't have a LHBS close either, but we should be able to find a place that would let us meet up.

How's about an organizational meeting over pints at Andy's Corner? Who's in?

Id be interested in joining - we could also hold meetings at Mahwah Bar & Grill as well. Much smaller beer selection but good wings

Awesome! So that's three, and that makes a quorum. Anyone want to propose a date and time? I am full-up busy through next Wednesday, but other than that I am good. For location, the only hiccup I have is a city commute that can run late. Is there a location that is central to all of us? What about three wise monks?

Cheers!

Wow more people! This going to be fun. Nope, no definite plans have been made. I was kind of waiting a bit to see where everyone was so we could pick a convenient place. Looks like we have a geographic stretch from Ramsey to Hoboken. The only places I know of that are near the center of everyone so far are Three Wise Monks (Garfield) and the Twisted Elm (Elmwood Park).

I would vote that we kick this off easy with a trip to Andy's and order in some food or pick up locally. Once we get a group together, we can start working our way around to the rest of the pubs in the area. How's that sound? Anyone want to propose a date?

I'm free most evenings, but wake up early for work during the week, so i'd prefer a friday night or weekend day/night. If that's no good, i'm still gonna show up on a weekday, i'll just be tired at work the next day.

I am in as well. Live in Paramus and have been heading over to Cricket Hill Brewery in Freehold once in a awhile as they have a homebrew club that meets there. Happy to be somewhat closer to home.

I think you mean Fairfield, not freehold.
