has anybody ever been to penn brewery in pittsburgh? their food is awesome and so is their beer. if you are every in pittsburgh i highly recommend it. i live about 5 blocks away from their so i am frequently at their happy hour.

I used to go occasionally when I lived there. Solid lineup of German-style lagers and German food (plus, of course, the requisite 'burgh salad with french fries on top).

I generally prefer ales, so it was never top of mind, but I always had a good time there.

I've been diggin on their brews that make it out this way....St. Niklaus, O-fest & Pils have all been mighty tasty.

I was just there last weekend, actually. We'd been drinking at the Church Brewing Works, but afterward stopped into Penn and picked up a sampler to take back to Cincy. Good stuff, particularly the Pils. Next time I'm up there I'll have to actually belly up to the bar for a few rounds.

I went to Penn Brewery last summer when I was in Pittsburgh. The wife and I loved it. Good beer and good food. I took two six packs of the Penn Dark to go...

Just had some Penndemonium last night. Totally delicious, I love Penn Brewing and have enjoyed everything I've tried there.

i hear one of the founders is selling his portion of the shares. maybe ill hit the lottery and by them... i wish.

I love Penn Brewery, Penn Dark is one of my favs as well. When I was going to school in Pittsburgh they also had a regional craft brew day, where micro breweries from PA/OH/WV would attend. Good fuzzy memories.
