Is anyone doing the beans and brew competition in Elizabethtown?

I don't really understand. You have to have at least 3 gal of beer for this competition? Is this a judge and crowd tasting event?

From my understanding is you hand samples to the crowd and they vote for their favorite

I am sending my Dad to give out samples. This sounds like a great idea, but also seems very poorly planned, it was just announced three weeks before it's happening and I already have plans that night. I hope it goes well enough to have more notice and better planning next year.

It is now a bjcp sanctioned event, doesn't look like they have more than 10 people though.
