Recipes 

So I have been brewing for a couple of years now and I finally want to try sending some to a competition.
My recipes or not my own, one is Edworts pale ale and two other ones are recipes I found in Zymurgy. Is this ok to send these beers since they are not my absolute creation. I made them but didn't have the creativity to make the recipes.
Another question I have is about the caps. I mark my caps with a permanent marker so I know what they are but the competition says plain caps and no labels. Will it be ok if I just simply open the bottles then recap them with a plain cap?

Absolutely they are your own creation. If 10 brewers made the same beer using everything identical they would come out with 10 unique products.

Don't uncap your bottles, just black them out completely with a black marker so you can't identify what it says on them

Submit anything you brew, so long as it fits into a BJCP category.

HB competitions are not about creating a recipe. They are about brewing good clean beers to style.

In the future, use a small strip of masking tape or other sticky to label your bottles.
