I find if you mash your goat scrotums too high they get rubbery.

Thanks! Can you tell from the pic how the color compares to yours? I think I came out a bit light due to me getting better than expected efficiency and adding water to the kettle to up the pre-boil volume so I would end up at 6.5 gal instead of 5.5. It was a weird brewday between not hitting my expected mash temp the first time and getting crazy high efficiency (91% when I usually get 75%). I was able to adjust the hops so that the bitterness was right for the new volume and the gravity ended up where it was supposed to, but I think it diluted out the color (and possibly the caramel and roasty flavors). Oh well, I'm sure it will still be good. Just another reason why the same recipe will come out completely different for each person.
