I tasted my partially carb'd keg with the WY 1338 yeast. I also made room for the keg made w/ Notty, but didnt taste.

I'm kinda like *meh*....
nothing yet to get excited about.

If the carbonation doesnt fix it, I plan to dry hop the sh##t out of the kegs.

cheers,
Wendy

Just popped open one of mine. Not fully carbed yet.
Surprisingly clean tasting, it doesn't seem to have the Notty twang I was expecting.

Better get to some bottling before the keg's pushing gas.
I managed to get 6 bottles saved before the first keg blew. I'm glad I have another 3 kegs ready to go.

For the bottle swap: are we sending out to everyone on the list? I need to know how many bottles to reserve. since the list is not epic I figured we could send to everyone. then maybe taste and review in this thread, one beer per day. maybe following the list of participants.

Just a thought, I would like to further develop my critiquing ability, and being able to compare notes on the same beer with others might help fine tune what I am tasting and smelling.

I am not sure I want to spend time/$$ mailing out this beer... I got 2 kegs of it.

I am very interested in reading the judge's comments on each of them!

I think just comparing judging notes would be the easiest comparison.

Just finished bottling mine ... like a bunch of people, I couldn't get it down past 1.014. Ah well.

Hydro sample smelled fantastic but tasted a little gnarly. Guess we'll have to see.

Cracked open a 16 day old bottle yesterday. Very light carbonation. I attempted to prime to style and it has only been in the bottle just over 2 weeks but I thought it would be a little more carbonated than it was.

Worried,
Curt
