Is this a members only thing? Was thinking about driving down to Richmond to brew with my family since we don't know any other brewers, but your shindig sounds like more of a good time.

I don't think anyone will complain if you come down and brew... I don't know exactly when we'll be starting, I think people started setting up around 8 or 9 last year.

I'd brew at my sister's first, then maybe come by and check things out. Want to make sure it's an open event before I ask if she wants to go.

Not Member of this club but I'll be going to see this
Learn to Homebrew Day
Sponsored by the (FBI) Fredericksburg Brewing Insiders
When: 5 November, 2011 (rain or shine)
Time: 10:00 am to 3:00 pm
Location: Blue& Gray Brewing Company
In 1999, the American Homebrewers Association (AHA) established Teach a Friend to Homebrew Day as an international event to introduce people to the homebrewing hobby. This year the(AHA) American Homebrewers Association are changing the name from Teach a Friend to Homebrew Day to Learn to Homebrew Day to better reflect the nature of the event.
Learn to Homebrew Day occurs each year on the first Saturday in November, when homebrewers around the world are encouraged to invite friends and family who have not yet been initiated into the homebrewer ranks to celebrate Learn to Homebrew Day and brew a batch of beer together.

Just got word today that our event has been postponed until next weekend (at least). The shop owners had a death in the family and have closed up for the next few days.

If you are near our shop, we are having demos and specials. If you aren't near the store....check out our site. We might show some "you-don't-live-by-us-but-we-still-like-you" love!
