Default BJCP Competition question

I'm going to enter a few competitions here shortly I think. I'm all-grain brewing so the I wasn't sure and couldn't answer the question.

A buddy asked if he could enter his extract brews in a BJCP event, specifically the Delaware State Fair Battle of the Brews. Yes? No?

Unless the event specifically limits the entries allowed, then it doesn't matter what method you use as long as it's homebrew.

I looked at the the state fair page, but I did not see any info the on the Battle of the Brews. Do you have a link?

Sure you can submit an extract beer, but why would you? Everyone knows that extract beer sucks.

It's new for this year. I didn't see anything limiting extract brews. My buddy just extracts now, unless he's at my place.

Except when it doesn't.

I normally brew all-grain, but I currently have I two extract batches on tap right now that are quite delicious. Better, in fact, than my first couple all-grain batches.

But... I've seen enough of your posts to think you're joking.
