Default Oktoberfest in Richmond

This Saturday, Sept. 23. Free admission.

I'm actually going to be able to attend a beer event this year.

I probably can't make it, looking at houses again next weekend.

The wife and I went. I don't have much to compare it to, but it was decent. Richbrau had a tent and only two beers on tap: a Porter (very good) and something else I didn't try.

Legend had probably six or seven beers on tap (I tried their Black and Tan, it was good).

Food was German (duh) and pretty good. Entrance was free but beer was four dollars each (three each if you bought a comemorative stein for $12 and a free beer).

All in all I'd say going was better than not going as it wasn't very crowded, just a bit warm (this is Virginia).

Nate, what part of VA do you live?

The wifey and I are in Williamsburg. Sounds like the event was ok... I don't think I've ever really been to a bad one. May have something to do with the presence of barley beverages.
