Hmm.... I've seen plenty of people goign downstairs to see the brewery. Just ask one of the wait staff if the brewer is allowing visitors. They always seem to be willing to give a quick tour unless they are actually at a critical stage of the process.
The glass in the floor is only useful at one specific time, since it sits right above the mash tun or boil kettle.
