Penguin Hops

Shedd aquarium planted hops a few years ago because they look cool. An employee (and homebrewer) noticed them and suggested they be used in beer.

Revolution Brewing did and donates $1 from each beer back to Shedd. Pretty cool if you ask me.

Very cool! Wonder what kind of hops there are. I haven't seen the beer, but will look for it.

I tried to find out...every source I've seen says "an unknown variety"...suppose we'd have to taste to find out. Someone reviewed it on BA and thought continental hops.

Either way, cool story. I love Shedd, I'll have to look for the hops next time I'm there.
