It's illegal to produce it without licensing for ANY reason. Unless you denature it (not fit for human consumption), it's 100% illegal (in the US).

Ditto on that... (in before the lock) perhas it is a bit of a badge of honor to be in a locked thread???
And yes, it is unlawful to produce it even for personal consumption....You won't get much info here regarding it anyways, maybe try the googles???
