Default Where is the dunce cap? I need it.

Yesterday I removed my keezer lid to paint it with chalkboard paint. While that was drying i decided to remove all of my kegs and drag the keezer outside to hose it out.

When I finished with that I brought it back inside, put the lid on, reassembled the gas manifold, yada yada yada. I plug it back in and go run some errands. I come back home, cook dinner, and go to grab a pint of chocolate cherry stout.... nothing. WTF??? I open the lid to see if I forgot to turn the gas on. It's on, but everything inside is FROZEN! I had plugged the freezer directly into the extension cord, rather than into the temp controller. FUUUUUUUU!!!!!

I fix my mistake, shake the kegs (English PA sounds frozen solid, stout sounds kind of slushy). I try pushing some stout through with a higher PSI but its a no go, the lines are frozen solid. I unplug it and leave it for the morning.

Today I go in and the ground is a little wet... "Hmm, must have been a lot of moisture from the thawing freezer. I open the lid and check that the lines have thawed, they have. I then grab a cup to check the stout (not to drink a pint, just to make sure it survived the ordeal)......... I had never closed the tap faucet from the night before. I shake the keg, it's as empty as a hooker's heart.

The really sad part is, when I plugged the freezer into the wrong spot, I hadn't yet even had anything to drink yesterday! I was just busy thinking about other projects I need to get done.

Yeah, what's that all about? I expect to do stupid things while drinking. Last brew day, I burned my hand pretty badly by grabbing the bottom of my kettle immediately after I took it off the burner. I had not a drop to drink before that. Everything went smoothly after I treated my hand, relaxed, and had a few homebrews.

O yes, and please accept my condolences for your loss.
