I recently got some "loose tops" corny's and decided to glue them down using Gorilla Glue (first time using this stuff).

I put the kegs upside down (to create pressure on the loose handles), and some of the stuff seeped out and fell on the floor. I had the presence of mind to put waxed paper to protect the hardwood floors (amen) so no damage there.

But the stuff that oozed out looks like foam, or epoxy that bubbled. It feels a bit like hard styrofoam, and it sticks to all hell on the kegs. I had to use a razor blade to cut off the stuff that oozed out.

Is this some kind of one-part epoxy that gets activated by air?!? I've never seen a glue like this, ever. It remind me of "Good Stuff" gone wild.

Gorilla glue is the mother of all glues. Use it very sparingly......as you've already found out.

I wish they'd package it in single use packs.

I know what's in gorilla glue... Tiny silverback gorillas on steroids with a death grip of all things they touch... At least thats what I like to imagine

The one time I used the stuff it had me wet the parts first. I believe that water activates the glue and it foams to fill all cracks and crevices. The next time I needed glue I bought there regular glue because it does not make such a mess.

I used Gorilla Glue to repair my R/C plane after a bad crash, amazing stuff!! I have also used it in creating some of my Halloween props. As long as you use it sparingly you can keep the foamover under control.

Its polyurethane. There are other brands out there, but Gorilla spent money on advertising and small package size. First poly I ever bought was a full quart.

small quantities. And pre-wetting is definitely a preferred method. Good for you protecting the outlying areas -drips are a pain to remove.

good call on the waxed paper, gorilla glue will remove the grain of the wood.

LIES!!! I had the glue chemicaly tested and it turns out there is VERY little real gorilla in it, but it does contain a healthy dose of orangutan and a surprising amount of toasted coconut!
