Tomorrow will be interesting...I had attempted (but failed) oral surgery on Thursday and 5 am that morning was the last time I took a blade to my face. I have the second try at surgery, this time in the OR under general anesthesia on Tuesday. So, I'll probably have a few days off from shaving again while I heal.

Best of luck man! With that kind of growth I like to go with the straight razor, easy work with some beard growth like that!

I shaved last night after a shower to avoid being late if there were any issues with the swollen face. There weren't and it was a great shave. The Astra SP and fat handle Tech did a fantastic job.

Until I my sample pack gets in, I'm using the Merkur Platinum blades that came with my set.

I got the Merkurs too. Best I got was 1 or 2 shaves out of a blade.

I made the switch from my fancy glass dispensor bottle to a Target travel area special, its a small plastic job with a flip top for shampoo, the glass one looked nice but the EVOO always dripped down the side making for a slippery glass object that I almost dropped twice.
The cheapie bottle doesnt drip, dispenses one drop at a time and closes up for storage in the drawer.

I've just a little bottle with the dripless cap. The bottle is so small you'd think it was a sampler.

Oh No! You got olive oil all over yourself... you better get your wife to help you towel it off.
"My, what big arms you have and I just love the smell of your shaving soap, that is a big razor you have there, WIll you show me how to use it?"
Like that?!
