Default SWMBO asked for this...

...for Christmas. Do I really buy this for her for x-mas? To me that is like buying her an ironing board. But then again, she asked for it. She has to be happy with it, right?

Please, discuss. (I didn't want to hijack Cheesefood's thread, so I made my own)

LOL.....I had a very similar conversation with a coworker regarding a Kitchen Aid today. If she wants it and you have the coin, I say go for it. Of course you're still on the hook for something thoughtful and personal.

I'm getting mine a remote starter for her car.

Yeah, something else she asked for, a gift card at Ulta for a facial. I figure I'll get her that too. For the price of those mixers though, I can't afford jewelry too.

Yeah. but you're off the hook for the KitchenAid. One time layout of cash and you're set for life. That's a helluva mixer. Totally functional, and they really look cool in the kitchen.

OMG no. If I have to see one more bottle of Bath and Body works body soap stuffed into my tub/shower, I'll scream. Why is it a rule that a woman has to have 16 different bottles in the shower?

Yeah, but it's cheaper than jewelry and makes them all slippery and nice smelling.

I like the lift-arm version of the KitchenAid mixer better than the Artisan line, but they are all great mixers. Like this one. It's only a few bucks more. With any KitchenAid mixer, you'll probably never have to buy another one.

I got my wife one like that a few years ago for Christmas. (It's what she wanted) She absolutely loves the thing.
