Default Sodastream tanks

Can I get these filled anywhere like dicksporting goods or my lhbs

Most places cannot refill sodastream. They are proprietary, and while there are adapters, Dicks, etc. will not mess with it.

Yeah, they make a lot of money charging $15 for 1/10 the volume of CO2 you get in a 5lb tank that also costs $15 to fill. We have a local propane and gas shop that figured out how to fill them and do it for half the cost; but, they have difficulties sometimes. My go-to for filling mine is to save up those Bed Bath and Beyond coupons for $5 off a $15 purchase and so I get it for $10.

The paintball tanks and adapter sounds like it would be worth it 3 bucks a fill for them

I don't have a soda stream but can't you just use an adapter on the machine and use a 20lb tank with a high pressure line to the machine?
