Default Simple pleasures

Happy New Year!

Feel free to add to the list; this is a small list of things that I really enjoy:

- freshly roasted coffee (by me!)
- the smell (and taste!) of sourdough bread just out of the oven
- early morning runs with the dogs
- Saturday afternoon naps (especially when a rain is falling)
- discovering a new beer
- the smell of a mash
- the satisfaction of making something completely from scratch and calling it your own.

Seeing my girls sing "Dancing Queen" from Mama Mia at the top of their lungs with made-up dance moves. They had apparently been working hard on the routine while I was away.

That's awesome, Ed! I'm sure just coming home to see your wife and girls after being away in Toronto is a pleasure all of its own.

I forgot to mention that. Going away blows, coming back rocks. They ran outside in their bare feet yesterday (it was 28 degrees) when I pulled in the driveway. Awesome.

+1 to this. Especially one that I haven't read in a long time, but I know like an old friend.
