I wrote up an entire rant about this and just erased it.

That is bullsh!t and right in my backyard, too.

Not just him getting paid, but the entire lame f*ckaround - the consultant firm (which was probably paid more than they are paying him off with,) the just getting around to it now after 12 years in that post. It just smells fishy - but then again Seattle School District isn't known for its wise use of funds.
