Default Pot hole or Meteor crater?

So the State of Utah is using the stimulus money to redo 26 miles of freeway in the valley i live in. Lucky for me i get to drive about 12 of them on the way to work.

The freeway is flat out a death trap. The lanes are always being moved and repainted and then the paint wears off from the weather so the lines on the freeway look like the town drunkard painted them (That can't be true as i don't paint.) so it must have been the village idiot.

Then there is the pot holes. These damn holes are literally the gates to hell or the states is digging threw to china? These holes are SO bad you hit them they blow out your tires, bend the rims, or just tear off the suspension on the car.

Think i am kidding?

Imagine hitting that doing 55.

Just amazes me that UDOT can't go out at night and repair the holes. They just keep posting on their Facebook page they are doing their best. Guatemala has better roads...

/rant off.

Duct tape? Good for fixin' everything! Time to step out there with a roll and do your thing.

We have some pretty terrible roads out here in KY also. I'd like to see them fix up Highway 44 (if any of you are familiar with the area). That's pretty scary though, especially when weather conditions get bad.

I've been to Guatemala, the roads are better

What a better way to keep your union road crews working, that is stimulus dollars at work. I swear these union department of transportation workers create sub-standard work to remain employed.

While you do have rain, snow, and inclimate weather, most *DOT work is crap.

Really ultravista? I always thought the problem was most of these repair jobs go to the low bidder.Union workers or not. But maybe you have to have Union guy's do the work. I don't know. Do you? And what stimulus dollars went to Utah for these road repairs?

Trust me some dollars came here as there is SIGNS AS LARGE AS THE POT HOLES saying the construction is putting America back to work per the stimulus or some such BS.... I know cause the sign pisses me off every time i drive by it.

Ya know, not trying to turn this thread into a "debate" - but, a lot of people say that China "can't" become a superpower because they lack infrastructure, but when you look at the "infrastructure" of the US, it's not looking that good.....
