Off to Munich!
|
|
Well, I managed to rack 6 gallons of Cabernet Sauvignon and keg 5 gallons of Bavarian Hefeweizen before leaving today. The Hefe will be carbed and ready for me when I return.
It's off to Munich & Augsburg for a about 11 days, then to Shannon, Ireland for a few more before returning.
It's sad that I won't be able to brew for about 2 1/2 weeks, sniff, sniff, but somehow I think I will manage. I hate traveling this time of year, but work requires it.
Anyway, I'll take some pics of beers and food and post'em here.
I wonder how much weight I'll gain?...
Aufwiedersehen!

Did you see the big Continental plane? I was waving! I'm in Amsterdam waiting for my connection to Munich.
Nice Avatar. I've frequented the Hob Goblin in Reading a number of times. Had some fantastic real Ales there and almost got booted out for forgetting to turn off my cell phone.

Leider nicht. Shade!
I'm off to the land of Guinness on the 9th. It will be a nice change after so many Weissbiers.

I have to say, Marriott Rocks. I checked into my hotel this evening here in Munich and there was a box on the little table. Hmmm, I wondered. What the hell is this.
I opened it up and found this along with a note from the hotel welcoming me back to Germany. Cheese and crackers! They really know how to suck up! It almost brought tears to my eyes. Sniff. They obviously don't do this for everyone, so they must have looked at my bar bill from my last stay.

I lived in Augsburg for 4 years.
Do not miss the Ratskeller for dinner if possible.
Enjoy! I know I would.
