Just use a proxy server... like : there is all kinds of them and they are a pain to try and block. I am a network admin at a HS. and I cant block most of them. The kids use them to get to sites I have blocked like My Space.

it seems more and more places are cracking down on teh interwebz surfing

our work sent out a Memo asking people to reduce the amount of time they "surf" the web due to bandwidth limitations.... apparently we've been going overboard here....

must be all the porn.

[QUOTE=keiths;717737]Just use a proxy server...

Doesn't that just send a red flag to big brother, that you are surfing the net or visiting banned web site? - Dirk

It could if they are spending all day checking the firewall logs, if they have them enabled that is. I know I have better things to do then that.

Trust me they already have all the proxy sites blocked. Bluecoat is extremely effective at filtering 99.99999% of everything

HBT is one of the few beer related sites that's not blocked at work. If they end up doing that, I will be so insanely bored you have no idea. Hmmm.... I wonder if one of the admins is a member here....
