To the rest of you...
If that looks confusing it's ok... I understand. I was selected for promotion to Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy today and I'm making the rounds to introduce the new me to every Chief I know. I wasn't sure if we might have one running around HBT so I figured I'd cover my bases. Over the next 3 months or so, I've got to go through "season of transition" the name for what used to be called Chiefs Initiation (before the PC folks got a hold of it) Which includes calling every Chief I ever knew.

I "got" to participate in a Chief's Initiation as a junior officer. Probably would have been fun if I hadn't been forced to be there. I wasn't the junior officer in the wardroom, but the Chiefs didn't want a female officer to attend. Next round, they were stuck with one & she thought is was great fun.
