Default Modern day Quadrapeds

I heard this story on BBC radio last night and was compelled to find some more information and possibly video regarding these modern day quadrapeds.

Apparently the father married his first cousin. WTF??

They ought to be sterile too so I don't think it's going to be a trend.

Last night's "Nova" was about them. It was a good story. See if you can find it running again on your local PBS station.

You would think modern man's joints not work well at such angles/posture?

I did not see any of the shows, was that mentioned at all?
