If you really like lobsters and live away from the northern east coast, it is worth finding a good local (on the coast) pond that is willing to sell direct. We get our from a guy in Boston, and he packs them up for shipment. WAY cheaper than getting them around here and way better lobsters.

$5.99 a pound at Shoprite for live lobster . Its just the shipping them to TX making them expensive.I'll trade ya a Lobster for a Pliney the Elder

$7.99 is the regular price here . But in truth I like King Crab legs much more than Lobster. The crab legs are $12.99 a pound but its like buying just the tail of the lobster which is very expensive I think the tails are $18 or more a pound.

Crab and sirloin sounds like dinner...

It helps to have a friend who owns a lobster boat AND is more than happy to give you his day's catch!

That's over 7lbs of lobster and crab right there - Not a bad dinner for two people.

4.99 per lb at the local market for me - bought a big honkin' 6 pounder last week - stuffed it and baked it. I have a pic somewhere that I'll post ASAP, as I know this is useless without pics.
