Hmmm is it rooted? Or possible to root?

I know a decent amount about android phones, not too much on the kindle though..

Actually, doesn't need to be rooted.. just need to move the .apk file from a play store device to the computer, move the apk to the Kindle and install from there.

I've done this with my kindle fire and its not rooted. You have to go into the settings and allow third party non market apps. Then you have to download the hbt apk file and an app to install it. I think I used es explorer. I don't have the url I used for the apk here on my phone, but if you need it, I can get it when I get on my laptop.

Load the 1mobile market app from the app store then you can load it from there. You must enable "load apps from unknown sources" setting.
