Learning Spanish

So the girlfriend and I have decided to learn Spanish. With the up coming release of duolingo, a couple Spanish learning books I should be good from a traditional book learning sense.

What we want to do though is begin conversing at home in Spanish as much as possible and when we watch TV or movies do so in Spanish.

So my question for you all is, what shows and movies do you recommend? I currently don't haves cable but do have netflix. What I normally do is just download and stream movies and TV shows and I plan on just downloading them in Spanish now. Anyway, what do you recommend?

Tele-novelas (Mexican soap operas) are most recommended but I've also heard that the Spanish dubbed 'Simpson's' is helpful. Buenas suerte!

Check out "La Reina Del Sur." Drug trafficking, the Sinaloan cartel, international black markets. It was originally aired on telemundo, and I'm not sure if netflix has it or not.
