Default How do I tell my husband that I can't drink our delicious brew for 9 months?

Just found out we're pregnant! Any ideas on how to let the Brewmaster in the house know?

Congrats! Yes. Tell him he can start planning/brewing for a celebration brew for when your new family member arrives! Something for the two of you to celebrate with together and with family/friends when they visit! It MUST be a special one of a kind brew though! (unless twins are involved lol). CONGRATS!!

Congratulations....also, it depends on who you ask but I know more and more of the medical community is coming around to the notion that moderate alcohol consumption doesn't really affect pregnancy and/or fetus/baby. Something in the one drink/week range is OK....again, something you want to check with your Doc. and make a decision for yourself.

Ask him to pick up a 6 pack of NA beer and see if he gets the hint.

Just tell him he's drinking for two now.

Tell him he needs to brew up a Barleywine. "Something that will be ready in oh, say, 9 months or so... "

Congrats! I would go with some of the other suggestion of a celebratory brew.

Or you could email him a link to this thread.

Do like my wife did: "Honey, I'll be the designated driver for the next year."
