Hop farts

Does this unfortunate phenomenon happen to anyone else when consuming alot of IPA?
I did an IPA tasting with some friends over the weekend and had gas so bad Saturday night that the SWMBO made me sleep in the guest bed. Normally she can tolerate my regular "blend", but these hop farts can be cut with a knife. 
I had pizza that night so I dont think that would signifigantly contribute to it (as opposed to hot wings or Taco Bell)
