Tasting notes for 601 blue. The 601 blue is a box pressed torpedo maduro. Looks and quality are what I've come to expect from a cigar rolled by MF. Smoke was plentiful and the cigar burned evenly till the end. A pleasant smoke all the way through. So far so good. Unfortunately I found the flavor was a little one dimensional, all I could find was coco. I tried but it never wavered. It wasn't bad but in that price point there are many others I'd rather be spending my time with. YMMV.

The continuing saga of my 601 blues. This morning I've decided on trying the natural or 601 white. Right off I'm kind of digging it. The one I have is in a robusto size. Roll, feel, and quality are there typical of the 601's. After trying the blue I was a little hesitant to try another, glad I did. I'm finding it to be a solid mild cigar with plenty of flavor to keep it interesting. I just need to find them at a better price point and they would find a spot in my humidor.

I have a bottle of the 14yr Caribbean Cask I've really been enjoying.

What can you tell me about it in terms of comparing it to the 15 Single Barrel?

I love those sticks. I tried my first one a while back when I ordered a sampler from CI. Now I typically try to keep a few in my humidor at all times.

I like the Ghurka Beauty. Actually I like pretty much anything they make. If you're looking for a budget smoke. Look at their Castle Hall. It's 39 for a Mazo of 20. Love them.
My new score. My boss was just in the DR and made a little voyage.. Going to save these for my wedding and when the wife pops out children!!!

I'm not an expert and may be wrong, but looking at the quality of those sticks I think they are fake. I have never seen a non-CC Cohiba that is rolled that bad, uneven, with bumps, and cut unevenly at the foot. In fact, those all look like someone who barely knew what they were doing rolled them. Sorry dude, just my observation.

Actually I kind of suspected that as well. No surprise... After I posted the pic, I did some research and looked them up. Either way, they will probably be a decent smoke.. Nice and oily wrapper and smelled amazing.

The Centurion is definitely by favorite Gurkha. I really enjoyed the Beauty also, but so far every one from my sampler has unwrapped on me. I have 2 left so hopefully those are better since they've been sitting my humidor for awhile now.
