Here's more.
And now some German Food Porn.
This is the best Lamb Kabab in Germany. You can get it in Heidelberg.
This is Leberkase, Eier, Salat und Pommes. Bavarian Meatloaf.
This was a feast at a friends house. Who can name what's on the table?
Now if only I could leave the pounds I found while over here!

This pic has nothing to do with beer, but is pretty cool IMHO. I found it on the wall in the Gasthof where we ate outside.
Translation: Everyone should believe in something, and I believe, I'll drink one more.
I'm a believer!

Cool.
Now show me some porn.
It looks like the enjoy head in Germany.
If they served like that in the UK the Barman would get dragged over the bar, beaten and there'd be a riot.

Looks like you're enjoying it.

That looks like a meal from my childhood days. My dad used to call those raw potato dumplings but I'm not sure if that's what those are? All I remember is he'd have potatos in a sack and would be beating the sh!t out of them and adding other stuff then throw them in boiling water. I never got the details and he's gone now but eating one felt like it weighed 1# in your gut. Pork, gravy, sauerkraut? Good stuff.

Great pics! That lamb kabab looks great! So does the rest if the stuff even though I have no idea what it is...
I love those steins! I want to get some of them, but they're pretty expensive! What size are those large ones?

Yes, the head has been good to me. Some of those pics are self poured from the bottle. Germans pour precisely what is advertised. That's why all the glasses have a line on them showing 0.4 L, 0.3 L, 0.5 L, etc. The glass is designed to hold a specific amount of beer PLUS some GOOD HEAD!

I lived in Augsburg for 4 years and am familiar with the Hassen-Brau from there.
Tucher is from Nurnberg...I lived 26 miles from there once also...
Been to Kaltenburg also...
Sounds like a wonderful time.
Sure miss the Schweinebraten mit kloss und kraut...Malzeit!!
