Default Flu Shot

I've never got a flu shot before but the children in all my children's classes are getting it and I suspect it's coming.

I guess I have vaccine hesitation however I thought about going to CVS tomorrow and getting it.

Anyone go to a big box place to get it? I assume it's the same but cheaper then going to the Dr.

By big box what do you mean?

I've gone to a CVS before for a flu shot a year or two back. It is a bit odd in my opinion but I guess it makes sense.

Depends on your insurance. Get your shot. Everyone, please. No reason for hesitation.

I believe it is the same thing but like stated above cheaper depends on insurance. Depending on how popular the location is you may have to wait a little bit but it doesn't take long at all.

Screw that crud, I hate the idea of flu shots, if you're in the at risk (elderly or children) then go all for it. but I'm 25 I've never had the flu and I don't think I'll ever get it, but then again I assume I flame out like a Rockstar before I'm elderly.

I got my flu vaccination at Rite-Aid this year. Insurance covered it. It was a little uncomfortable sitting in the front of the pharmacy in just a tee-shirt, shoppers all around, while the pharmacist administered the shot though. I thought I heard one elderly lady mutter "junkie" under her breath. But other than that, it's just a shot. Much more convenient than a doctor's appointment.

The CVS/Walgreens don't inspire much confidence where I really want them near me with a needle. How about Urgent Care or an Urgent Care branch at a SuperMarket. Also, stay away from the airgun (not sure if it is still used), my arm hurt for almost a week. Not going to talk about whether I get flu shots now or not. Don't want to hork up the karma.

Right. That makes sense, except vaccinations rely on herd immunity. You get the flu, give it to a kid, and they could die. A 15-year-old has died from flu this year. It's a bad year. People are so callous.

I do have a dog in this fight...but if you refuse a flu shot I believe you should also refuse the medical attention you might need when you are dying from the disease.

So easy to do, and it benefits so many more people than just yourself.
