Does anybody know where I can get a NPT (tapered) thread female to NPS (straight) thread male adapter for 1 1/4" or 1 1/2" pipe? I need to get a couple for a water filter installation but I can't find a source.

I do not believe that adapter exists. You might have to use hose barbs and some flexible hose to make your union.
