And decided she wanted one for Christmas. Does any have any experience with one of these? Is there something better?

Mod's link works. I've been to a few parties that have had these before and they are pretty cool. I wouldn't cheap out on it and get a mid to high level one. It measures out shots pretty much perfect, but there is a bit of a refill time to measure out a second shot, so if you are mixing drinks or want to do a bunch of the same shot with friends, its takes a little while.

Those things blow. They're unstable, not very fast, and just get in the way. If you want a way to measure out drinks go to a restaurant supply store and just get the tops that do it for you.
