Default Documentary on Texas Microbreweries

With the failure of HB602, and the seeming lack of interest in the subject of it and Texas breweries with most of the general public, I'm considering doing a documentary on Texas breweries. Now, I am in NO way a filmmaker. I have friends involved in the Houston film scene that may help but primarily, this will be my baby. At this point I am mainly gathering info before I make a decision to go ahead with the project. What I would like from the HBT community, is your knowledge, experiences with our breweries here in Texas, and where you feel would be good breweries to highlight. I will definately visit Saint Arnold, Southern Star, and Real Ale, but I know there are other smaller companies out there that I could showcase. My ultimate goal is to generate more of an awareness of our craft beer industry here, and help educate voters on how something like HB602 is good for Texas. ANY story, advice, or criticism is welcome. (Mods, I know this slightly deals with politics, but as I'm not a PM, I coukdn't post it in the appropriate place. If deleted I totally understand.)

Depends how far you want to drive. I always enjoyed the little German town Fredericksburg. It's a brewery/restaurant that serves great food and they have beers that are seasonal so there is always something different. There's a park nearby called enchanted rock, awesome motorcycle ride.

Yeah, they are on my list, as well as Franconia in McKinney.

You could talk to Deep Ellum Brewery in Dallas. They are in the license phase. It would be interesting to hear what they say about the whole process.

Denton County Brewing is another up and coming that would be interesting to interview.

Austin has 512, independence, live oak, jester king, circle brewing, hops and grain, thirsty planet, and I'm sure several more in the ramping up stages. It's starting to get crazy (read: awesome) around here.
