A Dare I'm More Than Happy To Accept
|
|
I usually keep a fairly good supply of beer in the fridge so that there is a good variety, not only for me but for guests with varying tastes. When I moved I took every beer I had that was cold and put it in the new house fridge. When I got home the other night I saw a house warming gift, a 10 beer sampler pack, in the fridge. Then I did some quick math in my head and noticed that between my homebrew, the beer I bought, and the sampler, there was over 20 different beers in the fridge and the possiblilty of close to a total of 35 different ones that I had on hand that could have been in there. A friend quickly suggested that I see how many I could have in a fridge. Off hand I threw out 100 as a good number. He then came back with the smart-ass comment that he would then take one out, making it only 99. So, the goal is...
101 different beers in the fridge!
I'll post some pictures and a list when I get there.

Those 99 beers would look better on the wall, it's easier to pass them around.

I don't think I have access (locally) to 100 different types of beer.

Man-Fridge
|
|
I got a Man-Fridge last month for my birthday. I too started filling it right away. I frequently have visitors so I keep BMC for them. Especially if all I have is malty & hoppy homebrews in stock. So as not to offend their palate or ruin my brewing reputation!!!
I try to keep beer from these catagories;
1.) Light & Balanced HB
2.) Malty and/or Hoppy HB
3.) Cider or Fruit Beer HB
4.) Similar Comercial Stuff; BMC, Boddingtons Pub Ale, Sam Adams Lt, Blue Moon, Pete's Wicked Ale - Strawberry Blonde; Mikes Hard Berry, Smirnoff Ice....
Its no joke that keeping the fridge full will cost less to operate. That will be my standard excuse for brewing another batch shortly. SWMFO probably never buy it though....

I try rather than do, howevers this is what drives my next brew types.
In general you need a session beer or a house recipe. I have yet to acquire one!

My guess is that than you would have ......98 bottles of beer on the wall? If my math is correct.

Less than 99....
|
|
Well, its not 99 varieties...but this was my beer fridge about a month and a half ago. The variations are a little different now...but you get the idea.
