Fine, 'cept that I'm pretty sure Todd's family is in northern VT, which makes that more like a 650 mile drive

I've done the northern-MA to DC drive three or four times, and that's about as long as I would want to be in a car - and holiday traffic makes that even worse. I'd imagine that would be at least a ten or twelve hour drive.

That'll do, Pigley. That'll do.

Whoops. My bad. 650 though? I'd probably still drive it. I mean, it'd probably only be an extra 3 or 4 hours for the trip. Not having to deal with the stress of the airlines will add at LEAST that much time to your life.

We drive pretty much everywhere, but it's tough. Best way to travel with Cassie is to stop every hour, hour and a half, and let her run around. The last trip to DC took us almost twelve hours, IIRC, because of this as because of hitting traffic on 495.

Todd, drive down to Raleigh for a nice home-cooked meal with all the trimmings. We'll drink homebrew and watch football and let the women cook and clean up.

Yeah, it's about a 14 hour car ride to her parent's house and that's not something we're doing for just a weekend with rain in the forecast and holiday traffic.

Thanks again for the invites guys. We're heading over to Providence Forge for dinner with "family". We've already painted another wall (that damn living room/kitchen shared wall), I bought a propane tank for the new grill, and we picked up a Charlie Brown Christmas tree for $1.05 at Lowes. Tonight I'm gonna watch football or a movie and hit the Apfelwein pretty hard.

I work for the airlines and I drive most of the time, unless I have plenty of time to get there and back.
