Obama was a Lakeside Liberal... they don't get along all that well with the political machine in Chicago...

Either way, he wasn't involved in politics long enough to get too much of that baggage.

Maybe they were creeped out that Michelle Obama was sitting on her daddy's lap watching the Olympics when she was 20 years old.....LOL

Rio better get on the ball, b/c their infrastructure is still very third-world. For example, their sewage system cannot handle toilet paper. Oh they have flush toilets, but you are told when you check in at your 5-star hotel not to flush toilet paper down the toilet for this very reason. What do you do with it then? Toss it in the trash and let the housekeeping people pick it up in the morning. Try not to think about the smell in your hotel room.

Where I live, the electricity is still supplied by overhead cables on poles instead of underground. The power goes out during every thunderstorm. The rainwater from the rooftops is dumped directly onto the ground instead of into the public drainage system. Cable TV shares the same overhead lines as the electricity and telephone lines.
