Very nice 509. Speaking from experience, don't try to splash the chains on that thing. They're not heavy enough to catch the disc with anything more than an easy up shot or putt. I tried like hell to get a high heizer shot on mine and it just went right through the chains every time.

New Yorkers think they’re so jaded that it’s impossible to shock them. They think they’ve seen and heard it all, and that may be mostly true. But I can tell you from experience that, at 2am in Midtown, pretty much every person on the street will stop and gawk when they see a guy holding hands with one midget, and another midget on his shoulders yelling out: “WHO RUN BARTERTOWN? I RUN BARTERTOWN!”

They do take a bit of getting used to, the lips and chains play very differently from a course basket. Mine has inner chains too, and you can still put a disc through. Also, the nylon is much more likely to springboard a disc if you hit the top lip. The way I look at it, they're tougher to sink than the real deal, which isn't a bad thing for practice.

Mine's a metal with a fairly deep basket, but the chains just aren't heavy enough to catch a disc with any kind of speed.

Brewed very first beer tonight. Imperial Russian Stout. It finished with a bit less OG than anticipated...70, but tasted great. Booyaa!
Visited Minn this year to play Blue Ribbon Pines. Also played Bryant, Elm, Koposia and The Valley. Great trip. Minn is ridiculously loaded with solid DG courses. You folks are lucky. We here in Ohio have to travel to play quality courses

Congrats on your first home brew and yeah, you got to play some of the best courses around. Kap and the Valley are two of the best I've ever played, anywhere. If you're up here again, check out Acorn in St. Paul, also stellar.
