If you're going to dream, dream big. At least that's how I feel. The wifey and I have decided that in one years time, we are going to rent out our home and travel the country in an airstream (which we have yet to purchase).

Besides the once in a lifetime experience of traveling all across the country and seeing all the incredible sites America has to offer, honestly I'm mostly excited about all the different beers I get to drink!

My goal is that every town we stop in I will do my level best to find a local brewery and try their wares.

This trip could last as long as a full year so I should prepare well ahead of time. we will be starting out in Louisiana and heading up to Washington and then begin making our way up and down the country. Any suggestions as to places you've been that you think we just have to stop at?

I'll keep you all updated as to the status of our preparations. I'm thinking of starting my own website even.

It's a bit out of the way, but Glacier National Park is the best place I've been to as far a nat'l parks go. Beautiful mountains and great hikes.

Well I took the plunge and bought an Airstream. A 76 Caravanner to be exact. It's going to a be a project to get it completely road worthy, but I'll just consider it a labor of love.

If you're going to be in MT, you should stop in Missoula & visit Big Sky Brewing http://www.bigskybrew.com/ and Bayern http://www.bayernbrewery.com/ and we can't forget Kettlehouse http://www.kettlehouse.com/

There's also Madison River Brewing http://www.madisonriverbrewing.com/ in Belgrade, and Harvest Moon http://www.harvestmoonbrew.com/?p=home in Belt.

If you find yourself in southern ID, stop in at the Table Rock Brewpub in Boise http://www.tablerockbrewpub.com/ It's worth a side trip to Spokane, WA to visit the Viking Tavern, they have about 30 beers on tap & over 100 in bottles; it ain't fancy, but the selection can't be beat.
