Default Anyone have any experience with Urethane finishes?

I've got a built-in poplar shelf that has been partially finished with polyurathane. I'm wondering if I can, after a good sanding, finish it with a water based, urathane fortified finish, specifically Sickens Cetol BL. Will there be any issues between these two finishes? Both are clear natural finishes.

I plan on living forever. So far, so good! - unknown.

water-based is OK over poly... it will not lift the finish below. However, make sure you sand really good and start with light coats. Water based finishes tend to bead when on cured finishes.

Keep me posted how it goes.
