Whats wrong with you folks
It's now been 4 days
Since a riddle was posted
And I want to play
Too bad I'm so dumb
And haven't a clue
Of how to create
A new riddle for you
So I will just "bump"
This more than fun thread
In hopes that is doesn't
Just become dead

Inside a hermetically sealed room there is a light bulb, and outside the room there are three switches.
Only one of the three lights the bulb. While the door is closed you can press the switches as often as you wishes.
But when you open the door, you have to say which of the three switches lights the bulb. The lack of a riddle makes me itches.

I'd look through the window in the door.

Flip one, open the door, close it. Flip the next... repeat?

3 switches: a, b and c.
Assuming that the light is off:
Turn a on
wait 10 minutes
Turn a off and b on.
Open the door.
If the light is on, switch b controls.
If light is off, either switch a or c.
Feel bulb.
Hot bulb means switch a. Cold means switch c.

If the bulb was on when you started.:
light off means B controls.
light on means either A or C
If it is C, the bulb was not off for long and should feel very hot.
If it is A, the bulb was off for 10 minutes and should feel cool.

I don't know how to solve it if we don't know the initial state of the bulb.

The top answer is what I was searching for
but your bottom answer throws my riddle out the door
I suppose I should have changed the facts to give a peek
inside the door before sealing it up to begin to seek

Holy cow - Wow!
Is what I say now
You answered the question twice
And probably could have done differently thrice
Bioguy I haven't been lately around much
Missed many riddles, I have lost the touch
Forgive me I don't know you or whether you've been contributing
But your answer has my mind stimuliting
My mind is like a sponge that soaks up and then dumps
You ought to see my nice looking wife in pumps! (okay, corny)
Thank God LabRatBrewer still plays
And makes minds work in mysterious ways
LRB here's what I see
You are a genius and I gotta go pee.. [sounds like an Ischavio line ]
Bioguy look forward to more of your rhymes
And answers to riddles that are quite sublime.

Cheers LRB!!!..
for keeping this thread going on, endlessly...

Today's pick
I hope it doesn't make you sick:

Like Gold and Diamonds I’m often mined
Carried by some wrapped in delicate fine
I fly to the wall with incredible speed
Apparently edible if you have the need
You may feel you know what is sought
But I’ll tell you now, its not

I'm guessing "Iron". I can't explain why.
It just came to mind. I didn't hardly try.

Thanks LRB for keeping us on our toes.
And everyone stay the hell out if you're writing in prose. (Emjay agrees)

Well, I'm off to bed.
I wonder could it be Lead?
