Default Anybody speak German? Translate this "Ode to Beer"

On vacation in Lucerne, Switzerland last week, I had dinner at the Rathaus Brauerei a few times. I took some photos of the brewing equipment and saw a framed poem on the wall that was too far to read. I blew up the photo of it and was able to get most of the words. Anybody here wanna take a stab at translation?

Here's a link to the high-res photo if you want to see it:

Quote:
Anekdote für das Bier

Oh du Gebräu!
Wie kann ich mich verbeugen?
Vor deinem Schaumen?

Wenn es mich durstet,
Du vermagst es mir zu nehmen.
Nur um zu geben.

Dein Augliz?
Reizt mich.
Innerlich.

Wenns gut geht.
Bist du neben mir
Und umgekehrt

Du bist fur all da.
Stehst einfach nur so da.
Wunderbar!

So goldurchdrungen scheinst du im Lichte.
Überstrahlst jeglich Form
Anziebend jeder Blicke

Schluck um Schluck
Ein förmlicher Genuss.
Das Glas noch voll von dir.

In der Würze liegt deine Gute.
Im Geschmack deine Starke.
Im Genuss die Liebe.

Verschlingen to ich dich.
Doch, das darf ich
Für dich.

Möchte mehr.
In mir.
Gib es mir.

Wie fein du doch fliesst
Oh!
Schon leer?

Kein Verdrüss!
Bestelle gleich mehr
Von dir.

Du berauscht meine Sinne.
Für immer?
Sieher!

Schon, das es dich gibt.
Bleib uns erhalten,
Mein liebes Bier!

FWIW, here's the Google Translate version that makes very little sense to me:

Quote:
Oh you BREW!
How can I bow down?
Before your foam?

If I am thirsty
Thou canst take me to.
Just to give.

Your Augliz?
Irritates me.
Inwardly.

Ifs okay.
Are you near me
And vice versa

You are there for all.
Stand just so there.
Wonderful!

Thus goldurchdrungen you seem in the light.
outshine any form
Anziebend each eye

Sip to sip
A form of enjoyment.
The glass still full of you.

In the wort is at your best.
The taste is your strength.
The pleasure of love.

I gobble to you.
Yes, I may
For you.

Liked more.
In me.
Give it to me.

How fine you still flows
Oh!
Already empty?

No vexed!
Order equals more
By you.

You intoxicated my senses.
Forever?
Behold!

Already, that you exist.
Stay down to us,
My dear beer!

Well, I never got very far studying German, but I gave it a go and copied it down in wordpad and got online. Without referring to the Google translation, I came up with this:

Anekdote für das Bier
Anecdote for the beer

Oh du Gebräu!
Oh you concoction

Wie kann ich mich verbeugen?
How can I myself bow down?

Vor deinem Schaumen?
Before thine foam?

Wenn es mich durstet,
When I thirst,

Du vermagst es mir zu nehmen.
You have the ability to take

Nur um zu geben.
but yet to give.

Dein Augliz?
Are you an Angel?

Reizt mich.
You tease me.

Innerlich.
Inside.

Wenns gut geht.
When it's good

Bist du neben mir
You are by me

Und umgekehrt
And conversely

Du bist fur all da.
You are there for us all.

Stehst einfach nur so da.
You stand so simple there

Wunderbar!
Wonderful!

So goldurchdrungen scheinst du im Lichte.
You shine so golden in the light.

Überstrahlst jeglich Form
Outshines any form

Anziebend jeder Blicke
Attractive in all views

Schluck um Schluck
Swallow to swallow

Ein förmlicher Genuss.
A Formal Pleasure

Das Glas noch voll von dir.
The Glass is still full of you (or another glass full of you)?

In der Würze liegt deine Gute.
It is in your good flavor

Im Geschmack deine Starke.
In your strong taste

Im Genuss die Liebe.
In lovely Consumption

Verschlingen to ich dich.
I engulf myself

Doch, das darf ich
But, I may that

Für dich.
For you.

Möchte mehr.
I want more.

In mir.
In me.

Gib es mir.
Give it to me.

Wie fein du doch fliesst
How fine do you flow

Oh!
Oh!

Schon leer?
Empty already?

Kein Verdrüss!
No Worries!

Bestelle gleich mehr
Means I'll order more

Von dir.
Of you

Du berauscht meine Sinne.
You intoxicated my senses

Für immer?
Forever?

Sieher! (sicher)
Surely!

Schon, das es dich gibt.
Yet, that is what I get

Bleib uns erhalten,
Stay with us,

Mein liebes Bier!
My dear beer!

I'm sure it's not perfect. This is almost making me want to dig the books back out and learn some more!

My German is quite poor, but I think it says:

I love beer
I pour it down my neck
I pee it from my willy
I just don't give a heck

I love beer
I drink it all day long
I love it in a naughty way
But I don't think that's wrong

I love beer
I wish it were my wife
I'd put my willy in it
And stay with her for life

I love beer
I pour it down my throat
Beer brings me pleasure
as once did my goat

I love beer
I'm having one right now
next, I'll have another
I think I'll pour it now

I love beer
Beer is so darn good
when I think about it
It seeps out from my wood. (Yes, that was inuendo)

Hey, I could do this all day long!

I love beer
It always gives me gas
But I still love it
I'd do up the keg

I think this is pretty close and some of what I can only assume are transcription errors, I've changed, but I'm willing to bow down to someones superior dialectical skills if they know it's dialect, cos they don't make sense as German words.

Anekdote für das Bier
Ode to beer.

Oh du Gebräu!
Oh, you brew!
Wie kann ich mich verbeugen?
How can I bow down?
Vor deinem Schaumen?
Before your foamy head?

Wenn es mich durstet,
When I thirst.
Du vermagst es mir zu nehmen.
You take it from me.
Nur um zu geben.
Just to give.

Dein Augliz?
Your beauty? (I've checked this with a German colleague, this is as good as it gets translated. )
Reizt mich.
Excites me.
Innerlich.
Innerly.

Wenns gut geht.
When things are good.
Bist du neben mir
You're there beside me
Und umgekehrt
and the other way around.

Du bist fur all da. (alle - think typo)
You're there for everyone.
Stehst einfach nur so da.
Simply standing there.
Wunderbar!
Wonderful!

So goldurchdrungen scheinst du im Lichte.
So golden you shine in the light.
Überstrahlst jeglich Form
Outshining everything
Anziebend jeder Blicke (anziehend - this must be a typo)
Drawing every glance

Schluck um Schluck
Slug for slug
Ein förmlicher Genuss.
A formal enjoyment.
Das Glas noch voll von dir.
The glass still full with you.

In der Würze liegt deine Gute.
In the wort lies your goodness.
Im Geschmack deine Starke. (staerke or stärke - typo)
In taste your strength.
Im Genuss die Liebe.
In enjoyment the love.

Verschlingen to ich dich. (tu - typo)
I throw you back.
Doch, das darf ich
Yeah, I'm allowed.
Für dich.
For you.

Möchte mehr.
Want more.
In mir.
In me.
Gib es mir.
Give it to me.

Wie fein du doch fliesst
How fine you flow
Oh!
Oh!
Schon leer?
Already gone?

Kein Verdrüss!
No problem!
Bestelle gleich mehr
Just order more.
Von dir.
Of you.

Du berauscht meine Sinne.
You buzz my senses.
Für immer?
For ever?
Sieher! (sicher - another typo)
For sure!

Schon, das es dich gibt.
Great that you are there.
Bleib uns erhalten,
Stay with us,
Mein liebes Bier!
My darling beer!

I just looked at the picture and the only thing I'm not 100% about is augliz, cos it kinda looks like angliz on the sheet, but that's not a familiar word whereas augliz comes across kinda like the sparkle in an eye (augen glitzern), but it's a guess.

I've checked up on the word I was unsure of with a German colleague here at work and it translates more or less as beauty. I've edited my original entry above.

Guy said it was an ancient German word so not necessarily something you'd find in a dictionary, he says it stretched his abilities also
