Is there any way to check ABV after beer has been fermented and carbonated?

Theoretically, yes. If you have a refractometer, the difference between a refractometer & hydrometer reading can provide an implied ABV (since the alcohol affects the hydro reading, but not the refractometer.)

If not, there's no simple way to do it. However, if you used an extract kit, you can be reasonably sure that your original gravity was pretty darn close to the recipe/kit you used. So you can just do the math on your final gravity to get a good estimate.
