There was a shootout that happened in Anchorage a few years back- 340 rounds. No one was even wounded.

So real life CAN be just like the A*Team, where there's hundreds of rounds but nobody gets killed.
I'm surprised the PDX police didn't tazer him 8 times before he hit the ground instead. They do love dem tazers around here yessirree...
