Hey everyone, I'll be doing a motorcycle tour this month, and am passing through and staying the night in Redding on one of the legs.

I'm looking for some good places to put down some pints of good beer, and spend the the evening. Any recommendations would be great. Also, since I'm on a motorcycle, whatever it is needs to be walking distance from where I stay (yet to be determined). So, if there is a "downtown" area near hotels with a good local brewpub/bar that would be perfect.

The only place worth stopping is the AleHouse (no BMC on tap, 21 handles) on Hilltop Dr. Lots of Hotels on that strip too. Its not "downtown" but there isnt much for beer spots/or decent hotels downtown. What are you riding?

I ride an old honda 450. It gets the job done, and I honestly even the most grizzled Harley guys, think I am a hero for doing week long tours on it. haha.

Cool, in some googling, the Ale House pub was one of the very places that popped up, that looked interesting, and was very close to a couple of hotels I had found. If I wasn't on the moto, i would have made the trip down to chico for SN. Redding just happens to be were mileage wise I will need to be stopping for the night.
