I just moved to San Diego from Oregon and have been going to the Best Damn Home Brew Shop in downtown San Diego as my LHBS. I tried a couple of other spots but haven't hit all of them yet. I like BDHBS because they mill my order for me and have a great hop selection. Their prices are better than the other 2 spots I've been to in SD and the guy is way more friendly than the other spots.

Smokin Beaver in Escondido is my go to shop in SD. American Brew supply is knowledgable but his prices on grain are 30% higher than any other shop and does not get a good supply of hops.

Smokin Beaver is great, massive grain selection always getting new hops in. Guys are super friendly and knowledgable and they got their own set up in the back they are happy to talk about. Cheers.

I'm a big fan of The Homebrewer On El Cajon Blvd in North Park. Prices are good and the selection is great.
