Default First Homebrew Contest...Blue Ribbon!

I just got results from the Slurp and Burp Homebrew Competition that is hosted by Strange Brew Club here in the Portland, OR area. I entered the light lager category with a Premium American Lager that was brewed from a blonde ale recipe(no adjuncts)-I just figured it may be good with Lager yeast. It turned out great, and I was prompted to enter it. I figured that Light Lager would be an unpopular homebrew, as the stuff is so maligned and cheap but there were a dozen other brewers in the category. Anyway, I scored very well (41.5) and now I have only deepened by obsession with brewing....lord help me!

Good score, Tim. 'Tis the season for light lagers and ales. Did you post your recipe for the boys?

Congrats. It's only going to get worse from now on.

It's a great feeling, isn't it! (rhetorical question)
